A month and a half ago, I met a music therapist named Dr. Angie Cook Wong.
Dr. Angie Cook Wong is from Hong Kong but she has lived in Canada, New York, New York, and now she lives here in South Florida.
I met her at a Dunkin Donuts here in Hollywood, Florida late one night, when she was at a business meeting for the WOW Mobile Company and I told her that I have Asperger's Syndrome, and she and I started talking. My 6 foot 9 friend Jimmy told her that I am an artist, so she invites me to hear her sing at Sheridan Hills Baptist Church, so I went and I heard her sing, and believe me she sings beautifully.
Anyway I told her that I needed a job, so she invites me to join her in WOW Mobile, and she starts giving me music therapy which I have to say has really changed my life.
She taught me the "Thank You" song which has helped me talk to Christ Jesus who is the King of Kings and The Lord of Lords and my provider. I have seen some tremendous results ever since I started sing the "Thank You" song.
One example of this was on Thursday May' 27, 2010 when I was at the Rebel's Drop-in Center where I saw my mentor Salah Abdallah wearing a shirt which has designs that in these days when it comes to fashion trends, and I told him " I wish I had shirts like yours." I was feeling depressed that night, so when I was walking to the bus stop I started singing the "Thank You" song and the next day, a donation of those trendy shirts came in, and I wound up taking them all home.
Another example was last Tuesday when I came home from the hospital to find that my belt and one of my journals turned up missing, so instead of getting angry
I sang the "Thank You" song once again, and the next day I found a trendy belt in good condition on a sidewalk and took it with me, and two days later, I received a journal from my group therapy , so you see the " Thank You " song works.
If you want to learn the "Thank You" song, here's how it goes.
Thank You, Thank You,
Thank You, Thank You,
Thank You, Thank You,
Thank You, Thank You,
Also ever since I have been singing the "Thank You" song I have come to find that I don't have to take my emergency antipsychotic medications to calm down, but it is more effective. Well thats it for today if you want to hear more about music therapy, you can contact Dr. Angie Cook Wong at either (954) 548-8087 or at 1(813) 389-2963 and Thank You for reading this blog.
